- WhatsApp Business Platform ( API ): Enables advanced automation and scalable API-based integrations, previously requiring a new number but now supporting existing WhatsApp Business App numbers.
How to onboard to WhatsApp Business Platform? #
- Option 1: Use a New Number (Recommended) : We recommend using a new phone number exclusively for the XpressBot WhatsApp Business Platform (API). This number should not be linked to the WhatsApp Business App.
- Option 2: Migrate an Existing Number (Optional)

- This number should not be used with WhatsApp Business App.
Option 2: Migrate an Existing Number (Optional) #
- Only migrate an existing number if absolutely necessary.
- Two Options Available to Migrate:
- Option 2.1: Delete your current WhatsApp Business App account and migrate to the WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API).
- Option 2.2: In certain selected countries, you can use both the WhatsApp Business App and WhatsApp API solution simultaneously without losing your chat history. This dual usage option — without needing to delete your account — is only available in a limited number of regions.
